Sales on vs off ebay

Hello Aspkins!

I noticed that when I sell through eBay items above $500 there is like automatic limitation done to the account. Sometimes even before the actual sale happens.

On the other hand, when I receive PayPal payments (Off ebay transaction) and even if it's more than $500 the account stays in perfect condition and without limitation - at least in the short run.

This observation is based on many accounts and transactions happened on and off eBay.

So why PayPal considers ebay transactions to be so dangerous compared to direct Paypal payments outside ebay? any thought?

Re: Sales on vs off ebay

Because ebay buyers are degenerates and if you're making a "point of sale" with someone off ebay you've most likely been in communication with them so it's less risky as chances are you've been able to vet your buyer whereas any monkey on ebay can click buy it not would be my guess.
