PayPal asks ID and Bank Statement cause of new EU regulation?
 

Hello, is it true that now paypal asks for ID and Card Statement for all new EU accounts when the vcc or bank account is added?

Not as far as I know

Some VCCs will trigger a statement request though

Because accounts could then be fully verified with all limits lifted without any transaction history.

I HAD few LT accounts recently limited too and can say something with thous are really going on.

Couple of weeks ago they started limiting accounts on SECOND received transaction (first one usually went through with no problems). And a week ago they started limiting everything on a first received transaction. Tested several different cards, different IP, nothing helps and on all i was asked the same- ID, supplyer info, business info- but nothing more.

Looks like it is region related problem..

That's strange, Never seen this before.

It could be the items you sold, maybe they are high risk, don't you think so? Have you been selling similar items before without beeing asked for docs after a few transactions?

Could you please tell us what exactly they request as docs?

I'm just curious .....

OP, it happened to me when I used cheap VCC from indonesian buyer to verify my new PP account.

They asked for additional documents as you describe.

You think too good about paypal. I had to resubmit both documents after 6 months when I reached EU receiving limit. It won't make your account fully verified from start.

Just because they didn't do it for you doesn't mean it can't be done.
