Change phone number in Paypal
 

I was trying to add a Bank account onto Paypal(verified, years old account) for withdrawal and PP was asking for text message verification. I do not have access to that number anymore.

What should I do now? If i try adding this bank account for a few more times, would i be able to luckily add it without text verification eventually?

Or do I have to change to a new phone?

You can add a phone number by logging into PayPal.

Sometimes they'll still insist on sending text to original number, but worth trying to remove old number and trying.

I read in other post here that if you change to a new phone number, it takes several months before you can use it for text verification purpose, is that still true?

When I did it on my account (US) it took just short of a month on a 3 month old account.

did you manage to verify by text message short of a month after adding new phone number?

Well that sucks. Dealing with something similar where they won't send the text to my phone and won't let me change it... Oh well, at least now I know I can fix it in a month. Did you call in or anything?
