Big problem.180 days already.Withdrawal canceled. Cannot withdraw again.

I have 2 accounts available for withdrawal after 180 days. I did check but this morning the checks were canceled and I went to withdraw again but it says there is a limit on my account and I can't withdraw. The 2 accounts have different addresses and names.. Now it looks like it has never been 180 days.
Anyone run into this issue recently?

I am calling. But it is wired because they automatically hang up after I entered the 6 time one time pass code. I had to call as a guest and the waiting time is 60 mins. Right now I am on the phone waiting. I am worried they may hold the funds forever..

Sure they can. And they've apparently been doing it more and more lately if they suspect any kind of fraud was involved operating the account.

I heard people getting their account locked and withdrawals canceled. But it still seems to be a rare situation. Now I am having a lot of accounts at risk. Don't know what I need to do.

After 2 hours on hold I was told that there is nothing they can do about it. They can only send a request to the supervisor to see if "they can release the funds".
I think they will for sure take the funds... So sad

They can, although it is very rare.

Generally happens when highly questionable items have been sold on the accounts

They can and will hold the money forever if they think you have done something illegal or fraudulent to get it, and the law is on their side.

This has happened to more than 10 accounts of mine. So sad. I just sold some brand name stuffs. totally normal activity as other users here.
I think it is not a rare case now.

I believe OP is the one with SSNs attached to all his accounts. He's posted about this several times in the past week.

Yes. I bought the account here. That was NOT my fault you need to stop mentioning that again and again. The problem is that they are now holding the funds after 180 days passed. This should concern anyone here.

Honestly, the fact that you were using SSN's fraudulently should be the first line of your post in all bold letters. Because otherwise this thread is fear mongering. I don't know who here sold you an account with an SSN but that's not a stealth account. They aren't releasing your money because of the ID theft.

While it may not be your fault, it is the reason you're having issues. You're not getting the $$ out of those accounts so stop asking for help, especially if you're omitting the biggest piece of info.

Most here aren't willing to give out illegal advice on a public forum. Also, most who reach out here have something to sell so I'd be thankful for any advice I can scrape together.

Update for the stuck paypals

I managed to contact them this morning and they are asking me to provide these files
You are requested to submit Photo ID,
Bank Statement, proof of address for both the address on file,
submit business information,
proof of SSN,
Tax ID number confirmation,
Upload W-8BEN-E Document

All of you mentioned that. Using SSN is a huge No No. But what should I do now if they are asking for it before they can release the funds after 180 days?? Advice please??

They're just trying to catch you in a lie so they can seize your money now instead of in 6 months, most likely.

I don't have either of the tax info. Can you please help me with some info about the W-8BEN-E please?
I upgraded to business but put a personal name on it. And I couldn't change it for some reason.It won't let me.

I thought in the us it was against the law to keep funds forever only on "they suspect fraud"

They didnt' say fraud. They did say they need further review of the account. And they never even sent email. I tried to call but the line keeps dropping. So I got the info from ONLINE CHAT( Which didn't think they will have enough authority) then finally I got an answer of why they are holding it for more than 180 days. They just tons of files to release it.

They'll tie the business name together to other accounts using it to withdraw from to set this flag. When they put this block on, they want you to submit ID for the name on the account. To change the name on the account, they want ID, utility bill for the address on the account, and something with the SSN card.. for the person listed on the account.

A bit of a sticky situation to be sure.

So they need to see both ID for the business and personal name? The fact is that I don't have SSN for the stealth account...Can I claim I don't have one? I am not sure what they will say. they probably won't accept it and say they are holding it forever....

OP is having all of these problems because he purchased accounts with phake and/or stolen SSN's already attached.

No. This one has no SSN. Now it asks for tons of documents to release the funds.
I only have a few ones with ssn and I gave up them already.

have customers filed any claims / non authentic complaints against you since your account was originally suspended?

if you havent, file a complaint with bbb.org and just write that you have been waiting over 180 days for your funds to be released and that you haven't had any buyer complaints either. they will either release your funds or give you an explanation as to why they are requesting those documents.


Last year when one of my accounts was limited they were asking me for all kinds of documentation and after 180 days i opened a bbb complaint and someone from Paypal Executive Escalations released the hold on my funds and told me they would be severing our business relationship because they were able to link me to multiple accounts that were previously limited.

And i think in your case judging on the documents they are asking for, that at least one of your account has an SSN linked, and most likely that SSN is being used on another account that is being operated by someone else.. Which would be bad news

Thank you for your advice. Dellyz. This one has no SSN but they just ask for it. So it is impossible to provide..I feel like I will lost the funds in it. So bad

Your best bet is to file the bbb, Emailing support will get you generic responses in most cases and i'd personally avoid any phone communication with them.



I didn't read the whole thread but, are the names on the accounts made up? or actual people?

Yes the names are all made up names. Now I need to provide them SSN or other tax info. Which I don't actually have.. SO sad
