Tried to use PayPal for shell pay and go fuel and asked for verifiecation
 

Hi

Recently I tried to use shell drive app with android device
The app didn’t worked possibly because of the location was enabled this is due to need to find the petrol pump when on and need to switch on the location ( may be my own perception ) but due to location being totally different and never used PayPal app and eBay app on mobile Since account is made , payment was unsuccessful and just now I logged in to my system using one of the stealth accounts , PayPal wanted to verified as they noticed unusual activity to my PayPal account although it was just a text confirmation all they needed

Shed some light on this

It’s not Only shell quite few others do offer
I have been using it for ages now till my main account went down

Something similar happened to me a few years ago when I tried to pay at Home Depot using a stealth account balance. Didn't work.

Never tried using PayPal in store but I can't imagine it's as easy as they claim, otherwise would make stealth accounts much easier.

What info do they ask for when checking out in store and choosing PP option?

using paypal connecting with shell pay app and it simply works contactless saving you time going in store for payment
but seems the reason is

stealth account is from another city, when paypal see location is totally different they might mark it suspicious payment
i will not try this again might affect the account

^^If you have the time and/or resources, you could try making another account in the correct city and see if Shell Pay works then. If it worked out I would be forever thankful to you. Being able to cash out one stealth account by purchasing gasoline would be awesome!

It looks like paypal flagged your account because geographic location, was it your first using shell pump with that paypal account?

#1 rule be ready to receive your TEXT messages !!!!!

and I suppose you need to be in the same CITY or area for that to work.

To me it sounds like a location flag.
IE: your account is in one country / city, but you used it at a different spot.
Kinda like a credit card security check.

From my experience if you call them to tell them that it's really you, they'll release it fast.

To prevent this, either call them before hand that you are going out of your home state or don't use them at all.
