Anyone have experience with Capital One?

I created a Capital One 360 account earlier today,so I could withdraw funds(after 180 days). I log in to the account, and it tells me Let's Get this worked out Looks like we need to fix something we're working on it. I try to add a second bank account to my Paypal account, and they try to put me in through a security check.

I spoke to a guy from Capital One,and he told me it takes a few days for the account to get up and running(This is 2018...it takes a few days?).What I'm worried about is the capital one account won't end up working, and I won't be able to add another bank account which will lead to the funds being stuck in there.

People have been reporting issues adding a bank account to a limited paypal.
You ight have to call in and have them do it manually for you.

So what is your concern if it's an account with your real name?

What is it that you are asking us?

Why add a 2nd bank account anyway? You can't withdraw to the first bank account?

The issue I'm having is with Capital One,The problem is this
I created the account
When I login the account it says "Looks like we need to fix something we're working on it."
So I'm worried that I won't be able to access the Capital One account to withdraw the funds.
Which will result in PayPal not letting me add another Bank account to withdraw the funds.

Of course you'll be able to access the bank account via online banking once it's ready. I don't know why it would take them so long to get your account setup but I don't think a bank is going to lie to you about something like that. As long as you didn't try making a bank account in a stealth name or something shady like that, you don't have anything to worry about as far as the banking side is concerned. The more problematic part is going to be adding that bank account onto your limited PP.

I already did,I'm just worried about them rejecting the bank after I try to confirm. Then I will have no option to add another bank to withdraw the funds. However deep down inside,I think I'm just afraid of the funds not withdraw even IF the bank account does get confirmed.

Re: Anyone have experience with Capital One?

I just spoke to the manager, and he kind of put my mind at ease. He said the money isn't going anywhere unless,I say so(we'll see about that)...say's basically just wait for it to confirm my Bank and then we'll go from there. He said,he was working on a few things on his end because the account is still operating as if the limitation is there...which makes it hard to do things.

Also something he told me which I had no idea about was this after 3 years if the money just sits there apparently he says they send it to the government idk...and they'll cut my check. However,I have no intention on waiting 3 years....

Yeah, it's been mentioned a ton of times here that money will eventually be sent to the state which may or may not attempt to deliver it to you. Not really an option for stealth accounts, lol.

Anyway, good luck. If this is your real account I don't think you'll end up losing the $.

Yea, just in the future avoid this bank and pick a different one that's known to work

Re: Anyone have experience with Capital One?

Cap One is well known to have problems for stealth. I myself know this because I tried it and the funds were rejected. In fact, MOST online banks do not work for stealth. This also includes any Green Dot cards/products, prepaid cards, or other garbage "banks" like that.

Physical banks with physical "brick & mortar" branches you can actually walk into usually work good with mismtached name, esp. with business accounts.

Credit unions are great too

Re: Anyone have experience with Capital One?

Known to work good for stealth:

Wells Fargo
Chase
Bank of America
Citibank
US Bank
USAA
HSBC
SunTrust
Most Credit Unions

Business accounts are particularly good for stealth because they can handle larger volumes and 3rd party deposits (ACH/checks) get much less scrutiny, esp. on mis-matching names on transfers.
