Hi!

If I chose to to use a family/friend's info to create a PP would a SSN be required?

Similarly, if i chose to use a nickname or variation of my name how would I go about a SSN? Can I use my actual SSN if it was previously used on a PP account?

I realized I didn't put it in the right thread as it was for PP and I couldn't figure out how to delete my post.... :/

1. Don't use friend or family info - SSN might still be required

2. You can't use your SSN again.

3. Don't double post - saw your other post...not good

I realize I made a mistake...I apologize, I'm new! Do you have advice on how to delete. I looked in FAQ's and followed the instructions but couldn't find a "delete" button... :/

Not a big deal. Don't post in the other thread and it will eventually be slid down.

Never use anyone else's SSN. Get yourself an EIN instead and you'll be staying above board without creating tax liabilities for your family members.

Now you can't use your paypal account without ssn. Yesterday paypal ask me to provide ssn on 4 year old account. This never happen before. If you don't provide they allow you only receive money and withdraw to bank. No way to send or purchase without ssn. Maybe paypal again updated something in security.

If you're planning to use it a long time or receive high amounts quickly, yes, they will eventually ask for SSN, ID, Passport...
Paypal don't allow people use 2 or more personal accounts. You can use one personal and business. If they catch you by IP or another way both accounts will be limited.
Ask your friend for SSN's or make another one with a fresh IP and don't login into boths using same IP or browser.
