| imjustme | 09-08-2007 11:57 AM | received payments - always withdraw everything or a few at once? i'm wondering, for my new paypal account, i receive daily payments of about $20-$40, should i withdraw them as i receive them or withdraw them every time i have $100-$150? or even different, withdraw $100 every time i reach $200 as in a 50% percentage of the amount in the account?
my concern is that paypal will get worried or throw up flags thinking i'm conning them if i always withdraw everything in the account. maybe leaving a percentage in it will assure them that they have funds to hold in case of a dispute? |
| Jeepers | 09-08-2007 12:45 PM | i guess it may depend on what you have in there, for me, i withdrew the maximum atm limit of 400 daily, i still was able to maintain a few k balance though. occasionally i would dump all of it into my main bank account with absolutely no problems whatsoever. we are talking about monthly here. so with taking as much cash as i could out of my account daily as a percentage it would be maybe as low as 10 percent or as high as 20 percent (read that as pp balance of 4k-2k. regardless, it was my daily routine to make sure and take my 400 bucks out. use it or lose it is how i felt at the time. i guess i should mention that i still use my paypal account and it is in good standing (jinx?). hope this helps |
| anotherebayhater | 09-08-2007 12:55 PM | paypal is the devil |
| ebay-sucks | 09-08-2007 01:21 PM | Be careful.
I was on a chat with someone early this morning who created a new ebay and paypal accounts a few months back, was doing well, very well... Had 7k in the paypal account, never touched it in 2 months and withdrew 400.00 two days in a row and paypal locked the account until they sent in copy of SS card, bank statements and utility bill. Of course they cannot send any of that info to them as it is from a banned ebay and paypal account.
They are now out 6200.00 and have no way of getting it because they used a middle name and all the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ info. |
| anotherebayhater | 09-08-2007 01:39 PM | again i say PP is the devil! that dude was stupid to leave that all in PP hands. he should have been smart and got the debit card or not used PP at all! |
| anotherebayhater | 09-08-2007 01:39 PM | i thought loosing 300 bucks was bad. not so much. |

| anotherebayhater | 09-08-2007 03:29 PM | legit or not matters not leaving money with PP is just plain STUPID!!!!!!! |
| DogFacedBoy | 09-08-2007 03:50 PM | I agree, but two months ago I would have thought nothing of doing the same.
My point was if the account was frozen strictly due to the withdrawal amount and his registered info was legit he has a much better chance of getting it out. |
| Jeepers | 09-09-2007 09:12 AM | let me add that mine was for legitimate business and real information, to date the account is in good standing, but lacking much of the funds as of a month ago. |
| DogFacedBoy | 09-09-2007 09:39 AM | My PP (well one of them) is totally legit and verified, but after being here for about a month I plan on being very careful. |
| anotherebayhater | 09-09-2007 10:04 AM | i think the only way i would use pay pal was to wait till after the 60 days get the debit card and then not recive payments till i got the card in my hand and as soon as a payment was made id be at the atm taking it out. |
| JackNoMore | 09-09-2007 11:46 AM | What the heck happened to my post? |
| anotherebayhater | 09-09-2007 11:47 AM | jack mine dissappeared and reappeared. just wait a few min and the post wll return. :) |

Someone else posted that there PP debit got turned down at a store and when they got home to check their account, it had been limited. |
| JackNoMore | 09-09-2007 01:17 PM | Hmm...it's not back yet. Here it goes again...
For an actual pp debit card, not just virtual, to be able to withdraw from your bank...how would you handle that? The address would have to be accurate or you would never receive it. Name could be different I'm sure. Anyway...just wondering because I've gone past the initial fear that they're an ebay trap and may want to apply for one soon... |
| anotherebayhater | 09-09-2007 01:32 PM | so u r saying the PP addy is a ⊗⊗⊗⊗? im not sure? maybe add a second addresss and request the card be sent there then once you recive it remove the real addy?
check out google check out. |
| JackNoMore | 09-09-2007 01:59 PM | I'm using both. Yes, the address is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ on pp. Had to as the real is suspended by ebay. Hmm...that second address thing might work. I'll look into it. Thanks |
| anotherebayhater | 09-09-2007 02:08 PM | sure :) but dont kill me if PP tries to steal your $$$$$$ |
| JackNoMore | 09-09-2007 02:15 PM | lol, ok noted. I hearby release you of any belltower plans. ;) |

| imjustme | 09-10-2007 04:18 AM | well so far I withdrew $200 and left $20 in the account. it's still pending since 2 days but no account suspension and I keep receiving payments, so I assume it'll be OK. |
| JackNoMore | 09-10-2007 07:34 AM | Keep us updated how it goes :) |

I always take mine mine out of paypal they dont care Its been good for the last 7 years or so. |
| DogFacedBoy | 09-10-2007 11:56 AM | I don't think if you take out the proceeds of sales as they occur that wouls appear suspicious to PP. Does the $500 limit for non-verified accounts pertain to sending $500 of payments...do they just freeze you from sending any type of payment (like to a verified account thatr you also have that you could withdraw from) for 30 days?
I'm hoping to heat up some of my sales soon. |
| jm3262 | 09-11-2007 12:00 AM | HI- I had a new pp acct. paid a few sellers, like $140, next day paid ebay 2 pyts, like $150 then another sale came in, pd ebay off was like $220. Then limited.
faced all papers, etc, called,
recd ltr- permanent limitation, we would like to make the tarnsition as smooth as possible, etc,
reason: my business was considered high risk;
Ballpoint pens/ collectibles/antiques...
(SEEMS like this is the 2nd time over a 3 month period, shortly after i paid off the ebay bill, got suspended in 24 hrs)
Coincidence???? |
| aspkin | 09-11-2007 12:22 AM | Well if you have a problem eventually verifying your account you should withdraw whenever you have a certain amount of money in your account. I always leave at least a few hundred in my accounts to cover refunds and fraud, but since I'm verified with Paypal (business account), I have no problem at all withdrawing thousands in one day. Give Paypal your SS#, get a business account and you won't have these problems either. |

If so do you just change the emails from the one that was registered to the offending account to a fresh one and set up an account with EB under the new addy?
I have had 4 or 5 EB accounts suspended in the last 7 or 8 years, but only once has my PP account frozen (due to a pissy buyer who made an unjust claim, I refunded and account was back to normal immeadiately).
So, in a nutshell can I set up a new EB account with a newly created email addy, add that to my 8 year-old PP account which is verified and use that PP account to transact on EB without letting on the relationship? |
| boosters | 01-30-2011 04:29 AM | I lost $300 and which is very useful for me. :(
Only the paypal is the main part of everything regarding banned. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 06:10 PM. | |
