I just bought account seller form here has 24 sales a week ago and on paypal shows if I want to send or spend money confirm SSN and date of birth. This is first time I see this. Any idea why they are asking this?

Speak to the seller you purchased from. They'll be in the best position to answer your questions. :)

Re: paypal

It's standard on most new US accounts now. You'll need to add a bank account and withdraw $.

Talk to the seller you bought it from .

YOu can always add a gift card as source of payment for your shipping labels.

All the more reason to use stamps.com or any kind of external postage where you can pay with a debit card :boink:

But yeah, it's standard now on some (but not all) new accounts and it will probably be standard for everyone eventually. I don't really know what the account seller can tell you that hasn't been said. Google "confirm your info" and you'll see 5 or 6 threads here from the past couple of months about the same topic. It was part of a TOS update that rolled out in Feb. or March of 2018.

Re: paypal

Actually theres nothing the orginal seller can do about it.
This related to the April 19th paypal ToS update in which they state they'll be requesting the DOB and SSN in order for the owner of the account to be able ot use the existing balance for sending payments. If this info is not provided the ONLY thing one can do is withdraw funds to their US based bank account.
That's pretty much it. There are no workarounds to this.

hmm, so if there isnt much in the acc guess OP would be better to move on to a new one

Re: paypal

Either that - or add a bank account and continue using it by withdrawing funds instead of sending them.
Theres no guarantee it wouldn't happen to any new account he starts using.
