Default USA - New withdrawal option - to cards!

I just say it today that US PayPal allows us to withdraw to cards for 1%. Just that they call them "eligible cards". What is an Eligible car?

It's been a feature for several months. Eligible cards means the issuing bank has to accept card "pushes" (as they're called). There are also some verification standards on the Paypal side (like your AVS needs to match up, I think).

At first it cost $.25 per card withdrawal. Then they made it 1% of the transfer amount. Now they've made it 1% with a maximum of $10. Some of my accounts still show the old $.25 card withdrawal price.

I don't think any prepaid cards (definitely not entropay) are going to work. Needs to be a real debit card.

I've only heard of a handful of forum members being able to use card withdrawal since it needs to be a real card and (I'm 90% sure) the addresses on card/PP need to match up

Did you have to confirm phone number when withdrawing to cards?

It's been my experience that the debit cards supported for this function are issued by actual banks (not online banks) but ones like Wells Fargo, Chase, Citi, BofA, etc. It needs to be a real bank. Metabank, Greendot, or other "virtual" bank cards are unlikely to work. Yes, that would also apply to Entropay which is not a USA card anyway.

I've never used the feature.

But if they're wanting you to confirm your phone for one, the case will be the same for the other.

This feature seems very inconvenient and inconsistent based on what other forum members have shared with us the past several weeks.

I figure that if you have a debit car, you'll most likely have a bank account, so why not use that bank account to make the withdrawal?

It's free and stable.

I assume for most willing to pay the fee it's a cashflow thing.

Last I checked it must be VISA. Also, they sometimes throw a 72hour delay.

Withdrawal to bank account remains no fee - still better than giving more % cut to paypal...
