Paypal request ID
 

Just received a pop up message from Paypal.
"Provide identity documents
To help keep your account secure, please provide documents that confirm your identity. If you’ve already added them, thanks. We’ll email you once we’ve reviewed them."

However, My paypal account is not limited. Do I need to upload the documents? They request my ID, SSN card, and Proof of address. I have everything except proof of address?

I can get the my business account statement with the correct address on Dec 1st. And the business account was linked to Paypal already.

My question is Do I have to upload those documents? And if yes, can I call them ask them if I can upload everything now, but my proof of address on Dec?

Call them and they can be quite lenient. Sometimes they'll let you get away with uploading only 2/3 of the docs if you call.

Worst case, if you look hard enough you can find proof of address. That's the easiest one.

Sounds like a very soft limitation

Just get yourself a copy of the proof of address and get that sent over when you can. Sooner the better though

I have the same situation with one of my accounts. All it does is not let me add money to the account. That is not a big deal.

If I ignore the request to upload documents will it incur a greater limitation? I don't really care for PayPal doing some sort of review on the account, despite having all the information. At the same time, the personal information on this business account is stealth, which can be problematic.

I am not sure, but scarred they would put a hard limit on my account later. I am going to call them on Monday.

Just called Paypal a few minutes ago. They said I don't need to upload my files now, there is 90 days for upload them. And it won't course any kind of limitation if I don't upload it. So no worries now:)

I have been trying do research on this, to get full clarification. I have been told by paypal, that you only have to upload the info if you want to contunie to use your balance to pay for items.

Can anyone confirm this?

I have the paperwork to verfiy the business in a heartbeat, only issue is its in my real name.
