How soon does Paypal charge your card?
 

When you're using a card (credit, debit, virtual, etc) source on file with Paypal, how soon after making payment is the card charged? Is it immediate, hourly, daily, or only on a work day? I know checks are processed the following work day. And of course, regular credit transactions can come any time, but has anyone noticed Paypal taking a longer time to process a credit card payment, maybe only during the work week??

And if you were low on funds or past your limit on a card, would Paypal or your card issuer deny the payment or just debit your account into the negative no matter the cost involved and you'll have to deal with that when your bill comes in?

It usually takes a day or two depending if it's the weekend or not. But the funds are available almost instantly on Paypal.
