Where are the Americans??
 

I am usually able to call in for a limitation after submitting documentation and the rep is able to either kill the account or un-limit it for me on the spot. I have been calling 4 days straight now and at all different times of day/night. I have not gotten one American or anyone who has the ability to review the documentation on the spot. Tried the live chat as well. Whats going on?

Are you calling the US # during US time?

Customer Service hours: For general queries, hours of operations are: 8am to 8:30pm Monday to Saturday; 9am to 8:30pm Sunday. For claims, hours of operation are: 8am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday; 8am to 6.30pm Saturday; 9am to 6.30pm Sunday.

Also don't expect the reps to review a limitation and make a decision over the phone in every instance. It might work in some limited cases, but not always.

BTW, if you are not based in the USA, please change the flag on your profile so members of the forum can give you help that's applicable to you.

I am in the US, I am calling during general hour and I am aware that the limitations department closes earlier then the rest.

I have always had the decision made over the phone, if not the first call then at least by the fourth.

Try calling their direct # in Omaha at: 402-935-2050

Ask for their Account Review team who typically deals with limitations.

The toll-free number gets routed through an IVR, and overflow may end up in San Jose, or their offshore office in the Philippines.

I think most of the call workers are in the Phillipines. Blashpemy if you ask me.

Ok still having this issue. Has anyone had luck finding Americans, if so, exactly how did you get them on the phone? Thanks!

It happens to me all the time and when you ask them to transfer you to someone in America they say we cannot do that I did realize PayPal they started using a third party company from the Philippines and 99% the won’t help you with limited account

They answer call randomly it could be from America or the Philippines you will just have to keep trying until you get someone from America

I think a lot of it has to do with the # you call from, and the manner you call them. Are you calling via Skype or an app, or using a real USA # to call them? Are you using the one time passcode, or just cold dialing into their IVR?

You are able to get through? I know a lot of people calling and being on hold for over an hour or two.

Why you need a specific rep tho? I've been calling PayPal for quite some time, I've come accross with my fellow Filipinos, they can help me with the limitation of my accounts with ease.

Sometimes you need to keep calling. I call sometimes 10 times before you find the right person to help you.
