What is the best ID to send to paypal
 
i am wondering, is it good to send ( scanned ) photo ID to paypal
or it has to be photo been took by mobile or digital camera

in the past I have sent in scanned in pdf as well as photo from my phone transferred to my pc and uploaded to PP, and id photo with digital camera. they accepted all of them. i don't think the format matters as long as they get something legible. I have tried to get tricky and cover some info with my finger in a picture or cut off some info and they did ask me to resend a copy that they could read.

in EU, for law it doesnt matter if it is scanned or a photo. but it "must be sharp and clearly readable without reflection"

means.. dont shake around and dont use the flash
