Stealth paypal limited for tax purposes
 

I know this question was asked a ton of times but I can't find it.
My stealth paypal was limited because of tax i.d . When can I expect it to reset? I tried listing something today(1/1/2019) but listing wouldn't complete because of PayPal. I'm hoping I just tried too soon and it resets at some point. It's an aged account so..

Looks like they changed something this year. I am waiting for on few accounts and nothing is changing. I'll wait 2-3 more days if nothing I'll just open more corporations

It's only the 3rd of Jan - PP isn't known for prompt action...wait a bit patiently.

I would give it a little bit more time. A week or 2. PayPal are not great at doing things on time

Otherwise there is the option of an EIN

I usually waited until end of Jan - early Feb before going back to accounts that got the IRS Tax ID limitation from the previous calendar year. I never tried using them in early January but according to other posters on here in years past they were able to to use them early January.

Hopefully the accounts reset like they used to, I have a lot waiting to come back into action.

Does anyone know if accounts still reset? Sorry to bump an old thread, just trying to see if this is still a thing. I have an account asking for Tax info, wondering if I can abandon until January 2020.

Its toast unless ya figure the tax thing out. 3 of mine were shot last yr with no reset.

Well if you're right, the EIN is an easy option.

I waited over a month ,then tried, then another month..nothing. After none of em reset by April that was a sign. Well that and another fella said he called and they said it's part of their new initiative or some crap.

Oh I see well it was good while it lasted all good things must come to an end there big on taxes now lots of pressure on them to make sure it’s enforced times have changed

Probably no auto-reset these days with all the new ID-security enforcement in place? I'm just speculating.

Yup unfortunately no more resets
