Paypal Security Check
 

Hi Guys,

I was on the phone to pay pal yesterday because my account had been limited due to EU receiving limits in place.

I called them to get this resolved and I just wanted to make you guys aware that pay pal has a new security check in place where they verify passport information and driving license information, if it doesn't validate you will be permanently limited or may need to provide additional information.

The pay pal representative removed my limitation by doing the passport and driving license check while I was on the phone using a system that validates the information provided.

They can now also check British gas/EON utility bills and broadband provider bills information through systems.

Yep they have always had that check in place. It’s the MRZ that they are checking on the phone

No I'm using a stealth account and used the ID and utility bill provided to me when I purchased the account.

I was worried because I wasn't sure if it was real or ⊗⊗⊗⊗ information.

Oh I didn't actually know that thought it was a new feature. What is MRZ? sorry if I sound dumb.

Just something that they check on passports but they have done so for years
