annoyed with paypal
 

I have this problem with my paypal account where it says "money that is waiting for you" and there is a "claim it" option. also I can't pay my ebay fees with my paypal balance.

what the heck is the problem with paypal? I have a visa prepaid card but no bank account attached yet. ebay items have been sold and feedback left for most items.

why can't I use money in my paypal balance to send a gift or even to pay paypal fees. p.s. only about $41.00 in my account

there is also a 21 day hold notification

please help!

PayPal can holds the funds for upto 21 days

It sounds like your funds are being held

Can you see the available balance, but it just says pending?

What youre referring to is a common situation these days which stems from the April 19th 2018 ToS update.
Bottom line is you will NOT be able to use the balance in the account. And no there is no way around it.
In order to continue using that account you will have to add a bank account and withdraw the funds to it and use that as your main source of funding. Its a bit of a pain but as long as you have access to a US based bank account its doable.

All my paypal accounts that have the claim it feature still allow me to pay my eBay fees. Is being unable to pay your eBay fees common nowadays?

20+ accounts I'm running that are getting the claim it button, no issues paying my fees from the PP account balance.

What bank do you use to withdraw it all? I have a US bank account. Is that fine if the paypal has a different name. On my statements it just says "electronic paypal deposit" from my real paypal.

You may have been grandfathered in.

New accounts opened up near or after the update have seen this.

I use USA banks. Mismatched names are not a problem with most major banks in the US. Browse through the forums to find out which banks will give you a problem.

When Claim it was first released I remember having this issue with paying my eBay fees, but the problem has since gone away on those accounts. All accounts that were once not letting me pay my fees now allow me to pay them without a problem, and have been that way for months.

My newest accounts were created in August - September, and paying ebay fees has not been an issue, even with the Claim It on my accounts.

I can only speak from my personal experience, but if what you guys are saying is true then I am not looking forward to having an issue paying my eBay fees.
