Good news finally! ADYEN coming!
 

I know I heard of this awhile back about Adyen replacing PayPal eventually but didnt know it would be good news for me until I spoke with customer service today.

So my ebay account was axed around 2012 for shipping delays and after numerous times I try to get back they wouldn't allow me. But last year they somehow did and was able to sell with authorize.net since PayPal was gone.

But after hearing PayPal and authorize wont work coming March, I thought my selling was officially done until the rep told me that I'll be able to sign up for the new payment system.

That was good news as it will allow me to get back to selling part time. I do graphic design for a company so this side income will be good for date night.

I almost was gonna go stealth during the time I wasnt able to get back on and if somehow I got caught and linked to my original account I'm positive they wont have let me back in. Persistent and patience paid off to get my master account and will be extra careful this time around.

Anyways point of this post is that if you have original account reinstated or still have it but dont have PayPal or authorize, the new payment system will get back you to selling!

If you run the stealth account correctly then there is no way to get linked so that part really wouldn’t be an issue

I wonder if many of you guys have master account still in tact but still doing stealth. If yes, doesn't hurt to try stealth if I follow the steps carefully.

Yep I have my real account (although it’s a second real account!) and I run it alongside my stealth accounts

I'm guessing master account has no limits it's generating more right?

You are still running master account and stealth from same pc? just different login etc? Since I'm little more paranoid and less experience in stealth, I'll probally buy a new pc and just separate everything from my master.

That sounds like complete rubbish.

I would take it with a grain of salt. What you are told and what actually happens are often two different things.

Paypal isn't being phased out in March. I can only assume OP meant Paypal won't work for them in March because they are already limited on PP.

Adyen is going to suck OP. Good luck anyway though.

My stealths sell 20x more than my real account ever did.

I agree, my stealth accounts are rocking and if Adyen becomes the ONLY way for sellers to get paid, that's going to be a BIG problem.

Not sure if adyen will suck that bad as the rates will be better then PayPal rates. But since it pretty new I'm sure its gonna be bad in beginning and start fine tuning after people addressing new issues that come up.

Just glad im able to restart fresh. I thought PayPal and ebay would be together forever and felt out of luck. So this is good news too me.

Since you aren't using stealth accounts I guess it won't have much impact on you.

But to anyone currently running USA accounts trying to fly below the radar by taking in less than 200 payments each year, days are numbered.

Are you doing both original and stealth account? I remember you used authorize (even used as signature lol), so there will be absolutely no third pary payment processors starting march then?

But I agree, seems its getting more and more filtered to the point where stealth is gonna be harder. Reminds me when Microsoft xbox allowed hackers to expoit the firmware to run bootleg games etc.. But since xbox one came out they blocked this and seems corporations are one step ahead of everyone in the long run.

Does Adyen share info with ebay like paypal does?
Most likely so, but I'm curious for facts.

Even if they do share, I wonder if we can make EIN and business accounts considering they are closer to a CC processor.

DO NOT pay any attention to what eBay or PayPal tell you. Half the time they are talking out their a$$

A lot can change between now and when the changeover to Managed Payments supposed to happen and finalize. We have learned this time and time again.

I have been on this Forum for years now, and to me there is so much more contradicting information and opinions rather than facts than ever before.

This is an awesome Forum, but there is sometimes information that can be quite alarming and misleading, even for experienced members.

I am not talking about censorship. I would suggest a thread maintained by Sellers and Mods containing facts rather than opinions and wild speculation. In other words answering all the common questions and concerns that are repeated over and over again.

With Adyen apparently being rolled out with Paypal all over the US, 2019 could be challenging.

However something tells me this isn't going to go exactly to plan.

Adyen is already being implemented via beta phase. Sellers had a chance to sign up before Dec 31st 2018. In the long run I see it being a good thing and should increase business for eBay.

How is this a good thing for stealth sellers?

Sorry I did not think about that. I would imagine you would be able to simply start a new llc per Adyen account.

Honestly looking forward to it since I can not use paypal anymore. I think everyone is sick of pp. Buyers included. They are a dinosaur and have the worst customer support just to say the least. Buyers prefer dealing with their own bank in case of disputes and big sellers (people who do it for a living) are better off with their own merchant account that deposits directly into their bank account(s) This middleman crap has to go...
