PayPal USA - ID Required to hold balance
 

Anyone else seen this, Only applies to US Accounts;

''During the new year, PayPal fully rolled out the balance verification update. You can no longer hold a balance in a US account, you must submit your information and two forms of ID in order to use the balance feature. You can still receive money, but you must transfer it to a bank or eligible card. I tried making 3 accounts today and they all had the balance ban on it (1/4/19)''

Yes, there are several threads about this from over the past year on the forum already. Paypal has been warning us about this update coming for over 2 years.

They aren't being spiteful - it's out of their hands. Too many people have been laundering money with US accounts so they're tightening their verification measures.

Its the way things are now.
Need to adapt and move on.
