Unable to make eBay payment above $200 with eBay gift card

hello, have been having serious issues trying to pay on eBay with eBay gift card for items above $200. whenever I add the eBay gift card to the account and try to link my PayPal account to the eBay account, It keeps telling me to add a debit or credit card even after I have a vcc added to it. please, I need help with this. any ebuyer using gift card here for purchases facing similar issue?

I would bet they're detecting your VCC and they want a valid backup payment source.

what if I add a vba to it. would that help.

yeah I guess so. I know a website that offers that service. I can buy from them. do you think it will work out?

still having the issue even after using both vba, vcc and phone number to verify my PayPal account. it keeps telling me to add card
