I have a business ein Paypal but just this month they want documents, what can I do?
 

Hi everyone

So I have a stealth paypal with ein attached and it was working just fine. The last two months it has taken in no sales and now I'm being asked to confirm personal id, with last 4 of ssn, and name, then it asked me for id , address, and tax documents.

About 12 months ago it asked for me to verify identity and I did that with a business ein account. What's it's deal why is it now wanting this as well?

Is this common?

yup. it seems like stealth for the usa is done. funny how paypal started in usa and now they betray us

Have you personally experienced this? AFter three months of paypal verified they wanted me to verify , and so i did business ein, now after 12 months, the last 2 no sales also, they want verify documents such as id, tax, and address.

Whats up with this? I thought ein business verifcation was more than enough especially for tax purposes.

Evidently you were wrong about EIN, same happened to me, we need to come up with solutions to tax verification or stealth is indeed dead. Also pictured ID, I personally have had 7 paypals permanently limited due to ID request.

Are we better off with canadian paypal accounts? I hear they don't even ask for sin and assume you will file your taxes. Is that true , is it easier?

Are they requesting tax documents because you have gone over the 200 sales/20k threshold?

I did but that was months ago. I gave them ein when they predicted I would go over 20k for the year, so that should have been enough. This must be different as it's been 12 months later well over me doing 20k. This time they want personal ssn info and address doc and tax doc proof. I think paypal is catching up to the stealth accounts. So now we will just have to do micro accounts.
