1099-k
 

I just got my 1099-Ks from Paypal as probably did everyone else that reached the amount required for them to report.

I have 2 different stealth accounts that are each linked to separate EINs that are linked to 2 different businesses that me and my wife own. The correct business names are listed with Paypal for these accounts. When I got the 1099_k forms, it shows the stealth name as the payee. The business names aren't showing on the 1099-K form, even though they are showing as the business name on the Paypal accounts. Is this variation in the name on this form going to cause a problem when I file taxes? I am assuming it all has to do with the EIN, and that being linked to my SSN with the IRS.

Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem. It has my EIN on it but has the Stealth name on the account. Same thing with Amazon.

always has been this way. It is not a problem.

Id contact a professional accountant and get expect advice on the matter - better safe than sorry.

There is no way of fixing this on paypal. It has been this way ever since 1099k stated 8 or so years ago.
