WTH...45 days passed, now credit card issuer able reverse payment???

I thought as long as it's over 45 days, seller will not be able to file a dispute, now it has already been more than 2 months and I received this today

Quote:

We were recently notified that one of your buyers filed a chargeback and
asked the credit card issuer to reverse a payment made to you on Apr 20,
2009.

The buyer claims that the item wasn't received. Their credit card company
needs additional information from you about this transaction.

PP dispute window is short compared to credit card disputes. I'm pretty sure if a buyer pays on their credit card (through PP or any other means anywhere) they have 180 days to file a chargeback *with* their card issuer. Then the issuer bounces that at PP.

Unless you know the card issuer, specifically (not just MC or Visa but WHICH MC or Visa), you won't know the exact terms. Some issuers have a restriction that the purchase must be made in person, signed for at the POS and within 100 miles of the buyer's home address. Unless you contest on those grounds, the issuer won't check it, they just shoot to kill. If you can find out and if the circumstances exist - you can challenge the chargeback.

Not very fun.

You may want to contact the buyer and see what is going on. I had this happen once and the buyer claimed she forgot she purchased my item and she canceled the chargeback. For some reason I dont believe it, I think she just wanted to see if she could get away with murder.
