So, I've been going through some personal stuff and I have had a really difficult time concentrating. I made another stupid mistake and accidentally initiated a transfer to my temporary debit card that has already been replaced with my permanent one. The transfer was delayed for 72 hours so as far as I know Paypal isn't even going to initiate it until the 72 hours is up. Should I call PayPal and just explain to them the situation and ask them if I can cancel the withdrawal? Or would that just bring unnecessary attention to my account? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks! | Technically as long as it shows PENDING, it can be cancelled. The agent who you spoke with might be mistake or ignorant. Let me tell you that a lot of ebay and PayPal agents are so ignorant in their company procedure, I really spoke with so many agents who were so stupid to the degree I wondered how come PayPal and ebay would employ such people. So try to call again different rep.
Back to your case, if the card that you transferred the money to has be replaced by your bank then it most likely has been deactivated. If that's the case, then the withdrawal will be NOT be completed after 72 hours and it will be cancelled because PayPal doesn't send money to non working cards. The money will be refunded back to your PayPal balance within 12 hours (after the 3 days) |
