What they tell you what they want and what they actually need are two different things.
Sometimes with the ID request, you can simply get away with sending them a receipt with your address and what was sold. It depends on the reason you got limited in the first place. If you get the "trifecta" which is typicallly: ID + SSN/TIN proof + address then you are expected to fulfill at least two of those, as they are checking identity. For all others, you might be able to get by with less, or even a carefully written note.
It's always best to be prepared, and to not do anything stupid with the account. |
