PayPal holds (Not with eBay)
 

Hello,

I was wondering what are the criteria for a PayPal account to meet, in order to bypass payment holds from outside of eBay. Note, I am talking about the hold PayPal gives, which requests you upload tracking before your money is released to you.

Also note, I am not talking about eBay holds. Since eBay are cancer and put holds on everything.

I don't think there's a set answer. If you ask Paypal when payments holds will go away they'll tell you "once you've successfully processed enough orders to build up trust."

Generally though they go away after 1-3 months of good selling.

In my case, after the 90 days with ebay holds I was able to receive my funds

right away for nearly 2 weeks. Out of the blue, paypal put holds on my ebay

funds until delivery of items and then the funds would be available. At that

time I also had a few paypal payments that was held until delivery as well.

This lasted about ten days. Everything went great and no holds and out of the

blue once again I got holds of ebay sales from paypal tho. Not ebay hold.

They only done 3 transactions at that time and as of now I am experiencing

any holds on any funds coming into paypal.

No rhyme or reason on the way paypal handles these accounts.

Holds can come and go on a whim, either at the request of PayPal or eBay.

THey can place a hold any time they want. The best thing to do would be to ship fast and provide a tracking each time.
