Paypal Requesting W-2/ Paystubs
 

Hello,

So I am in a situation where PayPal gave me 2 limitations on my account because I didn't pay my eBay fee's on time and had to provide SSN & other documents. For the SSN, I used the EIN from my LLC and was able to continue listing items and update stocks on eBay. They pushed the payment date to February 28th in which I hope I find a workaround to pay for the eBay fee through PAYPAL. I bought a prepaid card and filled it with enough money to pay for my fee's however the visa card continues to get declined through ebay & paypal.

I want to pay my fees through paypal but i need to "claim" my money. I have legit information, however, I am not trying to use my friend's SSN and replace it with my EIN. I was able to provide the proof of ID but now paypal is requesting W-2/ Paystubs which my friend doesn't have. Would i be able to photoshop and edit a paystub to match my friend's information and use it for verification on paypal? Please advise because i believe this is the last obstacle i need to pass to prove to paypal that I "am who I say I am." I can also provide a 3rd party prepared tax return in which i will photoshop this document as well.

in your situation, well done photoshop-the right decision
of course the perfect option is to use the ssn validity name and dob
have you entered an ein number that is valid for the first and last name of your stealth PayPal?

You just need to pay your fees with a one time fee through ebay while you sort it out.

@OP, even after submitting the info you may have to call up PP to get an agent for faster action

Question for Roober. What do you mean by matching an EIN for the first and last name? So if I upgrade to business I have to make the business name have a first and last name..ish? I'm asking because I have 3 accounts that are tax limited and want to attach LLC to em

So i have a very very good photoshopped paystub that got rejected by paypal. The SSN that i used was the EIN of my llc. So it doesn't match the SSN of the paystub. Can this be why its getting rejected? Should I call paypal and tell them if i can reupload the correct SSN because i used my EIN.

Also, I am looking to upgrade to business account. The business address is my address that is restricted on Ebay however i never put my Apartment #. Will i be fine doing this ?

The paystub got declined so would i i call in to ask them to verify it after i submit it again? The SSN that i used was the EIN of my LLC and the last 4 digits of the SSN on the paystub don't match. Do you believe that is why its getting rejected?

if you do upgrade to a PayPal business account, you must have a real ssn that matches the name and dob, otherwise there will be a request for photo documents
ein can be obtained online on the website https://www.irs.gov

Even if it's not a sole proprietor llc?

for llc, the ein number must match the business names

Will the IRS still tax the SSN or the EIN number since its a business?

Yes, it also depends on the specific Usa state
some States have a threshold not taxable and other restrictions

So say in California, They are going to tax my friends SSN even though i provide my EIN? whats the point of having the option to have a business account when they will still tax the individual instead of the LLC. makes no ****ing sense.

it's interesting you give PayPal a ssn your friend, but ein your number?
I think PayPal has the ability to verify that the business ein belts to the business owners because some sites are on request
ein number is the name of the owner
therefore, PayPal may have questions about the Nonconformance
but apparently you have a way out, you can also become a member of the company?
perhaps if your own ssn has a lock history in PayPal, you can legally get an ITIN and use it in your new PayPal business account

So my own paypal is still in good standing i just can't sell on ebay and have already used my SSN on my paypal. I believe i can add my friend to be a member of my LLC but he has already helped me enough. Just want to avoid him being taxed but i think i am going to have to use his actually SSN which is a bummer.
