Have I ruined my stealth PayPal (&ebay)?
 

I have a bank account on PayPal that I’ve been using (it’s an online bank N26 it’s called) and I withdraw money to that. It’s been perfect.

My problem, I mistakingly click add funds last night instead of withdraw funds and I’ve attmelted to withdraw £30 from my N26 bank account.
I know we are not supposed to do this as it will reveal to PayPal different name than what is on my account.
I have took money out of N26 account so it’s empty and the payment will be declined. It’s still pending at the moment until the 15th, will this damage my account? Will PayPal see the name on that account even tho the payment now won’t complete? Thanks so much for any help.

I doubt you're going to lose your account, but they will probably remove your bank account when the payment fails.

Honestly it would be better to let the payment go through as a one-off mistake than to purposely let the payment decline because the account is empty. I've slipped up and let stealth PP accounts pull money from bank accounts many times and it's never once caused me an issue - though it is something I try to avoid.

There's not much you can do now to alter it anyway. I can't imagine it causing any issues, just don't let it happen again.

One time is unlikely to cause issue.

If I were you I would put enough money in your "N26 account" to cover the payment you've accidentally attempted to debit from it.

I've made multiple mistakes like this before making eBay refunds, had balance in wrong currency then it tries to take from my bank. Never caused any limitations.

Worst that Is that they remove the bank account from the PayPal then you just have to rewrite it

It happened once, it's not a problem at all, rest easy =)
