New stealth account asking for photo i.d after 1st transaction
 

So I started a new stealth account. Verified bank and all that good stuff. Make my 1st sale and got a temporary limitation. They want photo i.d. Anybody else have this happen or was it dumb luck on my part and I may have used a name of someone who already has a paypal account?

Dang that is rough, I had one do that after 6 sales in a three month period and sent in nice documents and permanently limited

Weird. Wonder what sparks it though. This is the 1st time I've had it happen. More of a pain in the azz than anything. Only cuz now I close that bank account and start over. I have other accounts so it didn't really affect anythjng.Now ,had I made a few sales or more then I'd be a little pissed

Did you have an VCC added to the account? Also which VPN did you use?

No VPN. I used a smartphone and a regular bank. The the 2 deposits they do went through just fine. I even waited about 2 wks before I listed.

It will happen and a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID some times works.

Never fixed it but I'm ok with that. It a and aged so no big loss. Just gotta close the bank account

I walked. Its stealth so no way I know of to submit i.d.
I'm more curious as to why it happened . It was one $25 sale.

Seems to be happening more and more. Just happened to me. "We noticed that you provided incomplete identity information while setting up your account.
We've also temporarily limited certain features in your PayPal account."

That is what they told me. I will submit some creative docs and see what happens. To be clear, all they want right now from me is a photo ID.

Yeah. Looks like I'll be converting my current accounts to business before I go trying to open any new ones. Pain in the azz calling bank to drop an account when a new stealth tanks

You could always buy a photo ID and see if it works. I have seen a few posts like this lately. I'm guessing its random.

Eh..its not worth the effort on an account with no history. If it was even a little aged I'd look into it but I have a few accounts that have plenty of feedback and history. May as well convert em. An added bonus would be I dont have to worry so much about hitting the 200/20k limit. The way it stands now I'm getting the requests for tax info at around 150 sales. It's a pain in the dik because I'm only at around 6-8k in sales .

You are wrong my friend, its actually worth it for an account with no history. Easy limitation to remove and it makes it stronger.

its not random it's happening to everyone creating new accounts

Have they sent you any reasoning? Maybe they realised what is the situation? They wouldn't have any other reason than that to perlimit you.
