Using Paypal balance to pay for things
 

Hi

Just want to check if there's any way I can get my money out of a US stealth paypal that is requiring me to give my SSN before I am able to send money using my balance. I have a prepaid vcc linked to the account and can receive money and payments, but I can't send money using my balance. I do not have a SSN so I'm assuming at this point my money is lost.

You should still be able to use the balance you had before they asked for SSN. Just any sales after you will have to transfer to bank or provide SSN.

Really? All of my accounts that have gotten the request, I've been able to still use the funds I had in there before the request. They forced you to transfer what you had in your balance?

That hasn't been my experience either on accounts that have been switched to Claim it. If your account hasn't been transitioned yet and you just have received the notice, you can spend balance until it's switched though.

On accounts that didn't get hit with claim it yet I spent the balances on gift cards

Where can you get gift cards? I been thinking of doing the same thing but sont have a reliable source. Can you dm/inbox me thanks

eBay. Just make sure they're good sellers with lots of feedback. I bought TONS of gift cards and have so far only had a few problems. One person sent me a $100 gift card with a $0 balance and the other sent me expired gift cards. Had to open cases on both of them.
