You need to make sure your online access to your Citibank accounts is up and running, good to go. I had an issue when I opened the bank accounts in-branch, came back to the office with account and routing number in hand, and just tried to add a bank same day.
I believe with Citi you need to sign up for online access, confirm your debit card number (or some other details I may not be remembering correctly) and then once you are verified with them and successfully register your accounts online, adding/confirming a bank is a non-issue.
After this happened, as a precaution, I now wait until I have full online access to my bank accounts and always wait at least a few business days AFTER opening before attempting to add them to a PP |
