LLC for PayPal
 

I see people saying PayPal asks for Articles of Incorporation. How does one get creative? I'm about to get my paperwork(hopefully soon) for my LLC and now I'm worried it's for nothin. Paypal is stealth. LLC is sole member in my name with my address. Me personally is banned from paypal and the address is not linked to paypal ..I lived at different address when I got banned yrs ago. Am I worrying for nothin

google or ask an account seller for a suggestion. odds are, they wont ask for it but i habe an account that they did.

Any type of limitations the chances of those accounts gone is higher than being able to keep them.

I dont see how I'd provide the article without compromising my identity. So I'd say ..yeah,the chances would be good of losing account if they ask. I'm hoping the odds are in my favor and they dont ask in the 1st place . The account was limited months ago for tax i.d so I wanna switch it to biz cuz it's an established account

You have someone edit the documents.....It is nothing they can verify anyways.....and for sure, you are being paranoid. If it comes up, you deal with it. No big deal... :)

LLC's do not have articles of incorporation so if you are going to create a LLC and then get a EIN number and upgrade to a business account that is all you need, they will ask for the last 4 of your ssn which I give the last 4 of the ein.

If you are creating a Corporation then articles of incorporation are needed. This can be generic and easily found and downloaded as a template from the internet (probably a small charge) Then fill in the blanks with the corporations details.

I do not recommend a corporation for eBay a LLC is sufficient

Degsey69, If you do not know something, dont say anything. Your inaccurate information could cost someone their livelihood, maybe their home and family.

LLC have articles of Organization. Same difference.

As for structure, That really is a liability and tax issue to discuss with an attorney and/or accountant. It is not just something for anyone to just suggest. They can be taxes very differently and proper setup is most important for any company no matter if it is an LLC, S-Corp, Partnership, Trust etc...

Thanks for the replies. Maybe I am just being paranoid. Just wanna be prepared IF it does happen. I have 2 accounts that will have LLC on em and a few more built up to the point that I want to upgrade at some point.
I value the info from you guys( and gals) .
When this post dies out I'll copy the info and delete the post so it's not out there swinging in the breeze

Yankee I know what I am talking about as I have had 4 LLC’s and 2 corporations so I am better qualified probably than you.

LLC’s have a document of organization and then if it has 2 or more members, it does not have articles of incorporation as only a corporation is required to have that. That was what was said in the previous thread.

In future please read what I write carefully and do not go off on what you misperceive, I have been on this forum for 9 years and do not appreciate your comments.

Perhaps an apology is in order as my first comments were legally and factually true.

Then you are magnitudes less experienced and odds are, you are not more qualified. I mean, did paypal ask you for proof of ownership on an LLC in the past month? If not, then stop offering advice on something you have not experienced. As far as I am aware, I am the only one who has had the request........

What did I do?
Nothing. The request is still there. If it ever becomes more serious, we will upload the documents they require.
