gift cards cannot use to pay.....
 

created a new paypal account 2019-today

add gift card prepaid.....

try to pay for items online........i get a message says please add payment method.......


I take it......cannot use prepaid gift cards to spend on paypal anymore on new 2019 accounts?

Yeah, had that issue, but here's how to fix it.

If you have USD in you're trying to send in EUR it'll ask you that, but just convert and it'll work.

I sometimes get this error. But after I added a VCC/CC/Debit card on that account. It's fixed :)

PAYPAL wants us to link a credit card,in case the bank transfer does not work,it will waste no time and charge your credit card/
in your case,your prepaid card is the reason

the CFPB has put new rules and it will get even more strict a month from now.....I think paypal is putting newer restrictions on their website in regards to prepaid cards.
