VCC or Pre Paid Gift Card
 

Hi All,

I have a question to ask regarding VCC's and Pre Paid Gift Cards.

The reason for the VCC or pre paid card is so PayPal can verify your address, correct?

My stealth account is using a random address, therefore i cannot apply for a pre paid card or VCC as i will never receive the card as i have used a random address for my PayPal.

I am understanding that the VCC/Gift card and PayPal address's need to match?

You would just need to pop to a shop, buy one and then register it to your stealth address

ohhhhh mastercard.

I thought that was a generic term for the type of card, but i see now that mastercard sell there own gift cards.

It is a generic term for the type of card........

Go into your local supermarket (Tescos, Morrisons or ASDA) and buy a Visa or MasterCard giftcard. They are usually produced by a company called Vanilla or GoSpendIt.

If you are struggling with this, take your phone with you to the supermarket and take a picture of what they have available and post it here. We can then tell you if they are ok to use.

You didn't just do that. :lol:

One4All won't work. There used to be a way to use it to get a Mastercard, but that's no longer an option.

Gift card section should have cards that will have the mastercard or visa symbol. Pick those.

Yeah, I noticed a few weeks back that vplus wasn't working. Wasn't sure if it was temporary or not. The site is still up though......

Yep. Not sure why though as the one4all site explicitly states it cannot be used with vplus. I think that has been going on for months now, if i'm not mistaken.

is this for real?
if it is so easy,go to store and buy a prepaid MC card ,register it with your stealth address to match your Paypal stealth address and it is green light all the way ?
lets say you sold something,how do you transfer the fund out out of Paypal?

I believe you can link bank accounts to your paypal without them cross referencing the name and address? Can anyone confirm that?

as far as I know,bank account is verifed by comparing the name of your Paypal account with your bank account name,james Galvin and Jimmy G Galvin WOULD not match.
not sure about address as some would use a PO Box with bank account and home address with Paypal?

Name would have to match,else we would all be linking other people's bank account to our paypal account,some would link their mother's bank account if mother and daughter share the same name

You can add your own real bank account to a paypal with any name. They don't, have a method to confirm the name matches as they can't see it on the bank.

go to Paypal forum and ask,PAYPAL moderators frequent there,plus others are very knowledigible

You can also search on that forum to see if someone has asked that question,there are some pretty good volunteers on the site as well

In the UK, that's fine.

Most banks won't give you any hassle with that.

A lot of what you say is incorrect. It would be nice of you not to contribute if you didn't have the actual facts. Otherwise you'll mislead an already confused member of the forum. :)

The answers they give on the PayPal community forums may not be compatible with a stealth account. That's exactly why this forum came into fruition.

P.S. There are members of this forum more entwined with how PayPal works, than the employees and moderators at PayPal. ;)

Paypal employees are not going to answer questions from a stealth perspective. Most of them don't actually know what they are talking about anyway!

agree.Paypal moderators are not here to help stealth accounts,but I would assume when you go to PAYPAL.COM forum,you are not going to tel them you have been kicked out of PAYPAL and now try to get back in with a stealth account.
but it would give you some insight on what works and what does not work.
I dont think I HAVE given erroneous or misleading information on this forum,I have been with Ebay since 1990s ,I have sold on AMZN,RUBYLANE,ETSY,BONANZA,GOLD AUCTION,YAHOO SHOPPING ,Ecrater,even bought from BIdville and Epier .
I think the best advice I can give is Try hard not to get banned/suspended.

I have also sold a few items on Liveauctioneer via Jasper ,you can upload your own listing with pictures and your listing is availble on Liveauctioneer which reaches bidders from all over the world.
see there are other sales venues you can use to sell your items.

you are referring to the customer service clerks who answer the phone,no,they were hardly trained to handle the mundane questions.
Someone was scammed of a $24k watch when the buyer sent her a paypal payment with blank shipping address,but in the comment column,he gave a shipping address and ask her to ship there.
She called Paypal and the clerk said it is fine,she will get seller protection.
She lost the dispute as her tracking did not show she has shipped to a blank adddress!

If you are in uk look for Vanilla prepaid card. 25 GBP value. This will do the trick.

Hi SaiJin,

I have read the eBay stealth but when i purchased it a couple of years ago.

Do you know how i can get the recent up to date version? Im assuming i will not have to pay again.
