I wasn't trying to argue with anyone. I was simply stating my experience and even made sure to explicitly caution OP.
I wasn't saying you were.

Some folk on here have very strong opinions on certain subjects and this is one I don't want to get involved with. I was very much backing up what you were saying though.

Cheers

I doubt Ebay would say just because you share a paypal account with the suspended seller,I will now suspend you as well/
does Ebay really care whose paypal account you are using to accept payment?
LOL yes, they will.

Of course, dont do anything dumb on the new ebay or you will just wind up suspended again.
you mean add another email address to the existing Paypal account which is linked to the suspended ebay account?
He has only one good Paypal account which is linked to th suspsned ebay account now.

Well that was an interesting read!

Can you link an old PayPal that has been previously linked to a suspended eBay to an new eBay?

The answer is yes. But it comes with a large risk that the new eBay will get linked to the old eBay and limited. Sometimes that will happen in hours other times it can last months. It really depends on how lucky you get, what your selling, what precautions you take when linking and half a dozen other things.

So to summaries it be done? Sure. But it’s not a long term stable solution

Sadly, it has been my bad luck to have a limited PayPal because a dick of a brother totally ruined the account.

Two points, however, that need mention. The PayPal is a UK one. I got the limitation lifted but with a rolling reserve. (Still trying to get over that,)
Ah, third point, this happened just before the separation of eBay/PayPal.

I can confirm what Ebayorbust wrote above is correct.

I've done this twice for a friend. The last was two years ago. Both accounts are still live and one account alone makes him roughly £5,000 monthly.

Naysayers say start afresh. Nothing wrong with starting afresh but If I have a PayPal sitting, rotting away like a relic - Why should I just walk away? Why start afresh with one when I can have two? Not everyone will walk away with 6 digits like my friend, but there is nothing to lose even if it fails.
