Leader2dark | 03-25-2019 08:24 AM | Creative IDs on PayPal don't always work long term My PayPal was limited 3 or 4 weeks ago. I got a creative ID and had the limitation removed within 10 min of submitting the ID. I continued to sell on the account and removed money from the account. A couple of days ago PayPal permanently limited the account and after calling in a couple of times, the Rep flat out said they found out the ID was ⊗⊗⊗⊗. So they had some way to check the ID, it just took them a few weeks, is my best guess.
Just want people to know. I have about 5k locked up for 180 days. No big deal and already selling on other accounts...
So if you get an ID request, and need the money, take it and run. Continuing to use the account is at your own risk. Just because ID was accepted, don't mean its in the clear for good.
It was honestly pretty funny, the rep was like, yeah the ID is ⊗⊗⊗⊗, you can get your money in 180 days. Anything else I can help you with? LOL, I just said thanks for the info and hung up.
The first reps told me nothing. I kept calling in though.
The eBay account is still rock solid, I plan to add a new PayPal too it at some point. No rush though. I may just wait and try and use eBays new payment system instead. |
james_112233 | 03-25-2019 08:28 AM | Re: Creative IDs on PayPal don't always work long term I think it all depends on the rep working your case.
Some of them are jobsworths and have the eyes of a hawk and will be able to tell.
Other reps don't give a crap, they just want to go home and only working to pay the bills so if it looks good enough they will just let it slide. |

Maybe the accepted part is automated and nobody looked at it for 3 weeks?
The only other part is I was selling very strong, 1-2k per day, my account may have come under greater review....again. |

This is why all the stealth veterans on this forum keep telling us to SPREAD THE SALES across multiple accounts.
You were most definitely limited due to 2k sales every day. |

You were most definitely limited due to 2k sales every day. | I understand that put it under greater risk, but they specifically said the ID was bad.
So you are saying you can submit a creative ID, sell small amounts and nobody will check or care?
Sometimes greed gets the better of me...I knew I was selling too much, too fast. |
Kajunrook | 03-25-2019 08:38 AM | Re: Creative IDs on PayPal don't always work long term Same thing happened to me, the first "approval" is actually a prelim approval and then the send it back to the "experts", that is what the rep told me when I got limitation removed and then 4 days later banned for life. LOL |

The reality is we don't know for sure. We can only assume via tried and tested methods.
None of us work at the Paypal or the eBay back office. They have psychologists, ex-scammers probably working there that suss out their customers behaviour and tricks.
What works for one fellow stealther won't work for another. The item you sell will have a big part to do with who handles your account at ebay and paypal.
Stealth is like gambling. If you successfully stay under the radar and can sell across multiple accounts you are lucky. If you get caught you have to get creative. If you are allowed back on, take it slow again. If not, then open another bank account and get back on under a different alias. |
agent006140 | 03-25-2019 09:12 AM | Re: Creative IDs on PayPal don't always work long term some IDs take longer to verify,I dont know how they verify IDS from foreign countries like Argentina,Costa Rica,Brazil?
But US ids like passport, driver license,SS number are easy, utilities bills take longer, vendor invoice ?vendors do not have to respond .
Private detectives if he is good, pay to access data bases ,in order to find someone, they can find out online if that person is in jail or out of the country. |

Of course, they will check if there's a previous limitation on the account, and then they review manually what you have submitted.
At first glance, your creative ID is really convincing to look real, but looking into the small details (zooming in) there's really something not 'natural'.
Anyways, hope for the best if they will really release your funds in 180 days.
I've heard they will still ask some docs before they let you withdraw those funds.
Best of Luck then, and see you in 180 days? :d |

agent006140 | 03-26-2019 01:24 PM | Re: Creative IDs on PayPal don't always work long term I know some of you would not agree with me,but Paypal will pull credit report on us.
some said we have to give them permission, but then read terms and agreement that it will,by signing up for its service,it can run a credit report on us.
If this is so,then your stealth account with phony names etc would not work |

I know at least speaking for myself have never seen any PayPal related inquiry on all 3 of my credit bureau reports, nor have my friends who also have a PayPal account.
I know they can (and do) pull credit for some people, particularly if you are applying for their PayPal Credit products such as Bill me now, or the PayPal credit card. |

What’s the most in sales that you can do in a day - without getting PayPal to check your account? |

What’s the most in sales that you can do in a day - without getting PayPal to check your account? | Too many factors to juggle here - market, types of products, source of payments, etc |

- Account history
- Items you're selling and more. |

I actually think that was a big warning sign. I had like 3K on hold at one point. Very bad idea.
The crazy part is my next stealth account does not seem to have any holds at all. Both aged about the same time, the same number of sales, etc... |
Re: Creative IDs on PayPal don't always work long term ^ I would take extra care with that account from now on tho. That's one of a kind! |
dan_ebay | 03-29-2019 04:29 AM | Re: Creative IDs on PayPal don't always work long term Just bad luck. I've done similar amounts on stealth accounts in the UK before and not had a problem. Obviously the more you sell the higher the risk.
If you want to run a proper business with low margins then you can't be splitting sales about to $1k per month per account lol. | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 11:33 AM. | |
