Just read an article on Venmo,Paypal has warned that Venmo members with deficit balance from $7 to $xxx will receive emails from Paypal to pay up else they will hear from collectors?
It has also modified its terms and agreement that Paypal could dip into thier other Paypal balances such as digital wallet and other.
A recent case is a couple used their Venmo account/WFC bank account to buy concert tickets from some one on Craigslist and were scammed.
When they tried to contact Venmo on a weekend,no one was on duty,so they asked WFC to make stop payment and paid a stop payment fee.
It was too late for Venmo to act on Monday,so the couple has a deficit balance
in their Venmo account which Venmo expected them to pay/
The argu ment from Venmo is that Venmo is not meant for purchase but for sending fund for friend and family and non business transaction while the couple insisted Venmo should eat the loss.

Venmo isn't doing anything wrong. They're just trying to get paid back by a couple who violated their TOS by using Venmo for something it's not for.

I agree.
But the couple has since cancelled their Venmo account,so they will be receiving a notice from the collector.
I am surprised Venmo from what I heard is quite successful and growing,and they dont have customer service 7/24?
Like Yahoo Pay and Google Pay.
Back then Google Pay has just 2 clerks emailing Mon to Friday,no weekend and no after hours?

That sounded far-fetched to me as well. With Venmo being a PP company you'd expect them to have at least a few dozen reps in a few different countries on call 24/7.

I think a likely explanation is that this couple stopped the payment through their bank after being told by Venmo there's nothing they can do since the couple used a non commercial payment network for a commercial transaction, because there are no buyer protections in place like there would be on Paypal. The scammer realized, but the buyers did not realize, that you can't start a chargeback for a payment "you sent to your friend for gas" or whatever. So the couple gets pissed at Venmo and stops the payment at WF, leaving their Venmo account in the negative, which they are still responsible for.

Seems unlikely that Google Pay was ever managed by just 2 people given the size of Google Inc. when GP launched.

Google is never a big man on campus when it comes to retail marketing,remember Google glass,what happens to that?
