Paypal asking for SSN card, W2, pay stub,
 

I upgraded to a business account like I did for my other stealth accounts expecting to be able to put in my EIN and I was asked for SSN card, W2, pay stub, or 3rd party prepared tax return. I have no problem buying ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ones to give to them since they are not a bank. I can still receive money from sales and deposit into my bank account but I can't use my balance to pay my eBay fees.

Should I have not upgraded and used an EIN for the social. would that have even worked?

no idea what you are talking about.
so did you get some ⊗⊗⊗⊗ papers and sent to Paypal.
PAYpal is a bank in some country ,but not in US.
if yu can transfer fund froms paypal to your bank account ,why cant you pay Ebay fee with bank account or cc instead of Paypal?

Cause my bank account has my name on it. I'm just wondering if I shouldn't have upgraded to a business account. Can I use an EIN as a social in the claim money feature?

You cant buy ⊗⊗⊗⊗ SS numbers that will work long term. That stuff all gets checked at some point and will come back bad. Unless you are talking full blow identity theft...and that can be very serious.

There is no problem using your bank through PayPal to pay eBay fees. Everyone will be doing that now, as you can't keep a PayPal balance unless you have added verification.

Can anyone else confirm this PayPal behavior when upgrading to a business account? I'm really concerned.

It sounds like they have changed the process. I never used business accounts, what is the reason to do so?

I use business accounts so that I can sell over 20K and use LLC information to report taxes.

Try and create another one and report back. It sounds like the entire process is updated. Could be related to the major 29th update for USA Paypal needing more verification.

The scary part is I don't see any way to ⊗⊗⊗⊗ the info they are asking for and have it work long term.

How many times did this happen when upgrading from personal to business? And did it happen immediately or at a later time?

Just this one is all I've tried. In the past you needed to upgrade to a business account after they asked for Social so you could put an EIN in instead.

When you guys say pay with a bank "through" paypal are you meaning let PayPal take money from your checking account? Won't PayPal see the name on the checking account?

Yes, they already know the name on the checking account. They did micro deposits remember?

I have seen a case where the Paypal member after opening a business account and use EIN number instead of SSN,was asked for SSN,the argument from Paypal is that behind every business,there must be a real person ,so what is his SSN ?
That person is not a US citizen or resident,he also does not reside in USA
