Does Paypal always ask for SSN nowadays even after providing EIN?
 

HI everyone.

Is paypal asking everyone for a ssn tax id document even after you enter your business ein upon request?

They ask for last 4 of SSN and DOB.

Only if you wish to send payments.
If all youre doing is withdrawing funds to your bank account nothing changes.

I believe instant denial because they can instantly check if last four of SSN match the name.

They have asked,they said behind every EIN,there is a real person and so what is his SSN?

then it becomes a problem if Paypal keeps insisting it wants SSN.
There was a time Paypal was restricting accounts of precious metal dealers,an Israeli dealer kept his proceeds in his US Paypal account (LLC with EIN),he has no SSN,but Paypal wont buy his excuse.

Any idea on if the guy (Israel one) would register a company for his business? Would it be more acceptable for Paypal? I've seen some posts that Paypal looks less suspicious for this type of accounts.

I think his case is related to terrorism /money laundering/,Paypal is checking up on metal dealers ,not that he is Israeli,it is the kind of business he is in and accepting payment via Paypal and keeping it in his account without transferring to a bank,he has $10k in his account.
Around the same time,an Australian precious metal dealer which has a brick and mortar store and website in Australia ,was selling gold on Ebay ,it has $80k in its account,and Paypal restricted the account.
It finally hired a lawyer and after 4 months,Paypal released the fund and shut down its paypal account.
Without Paypal,it cannot continue to sell on Ebay ,it has merchant account to accept cc in Australia but would not be able to get one in USA to use on Ebay,there are only 3 gateways which work on Ebay.
We never know the reason why Paypal shut down its account,it is kind of odd for a small business to keep so much money in its Paypal account without needing it as working capital,if it is tax related,PAYPAL would not shut down the account just because they are keeping the sales proceeds offshore.
Now there is Ayden,may be it can apply with them?
