Paypal randomly decided to limit me and I am not sure how I should proceed. This Paypal account is a personal stealth account that I have been using for several years now without any problems. I had a person chargeback on me for an item through their bank a couple days ago, so I am not sure if that is related to this. I also received an email from the Merchant Review Department regarding this and I will attach a picture of the email below.

They want me to provide a photo ID, proof of my address, supplier information, and proof of SSN. My old account was banned years ago and had my real SSN tied to it.

How should I proceed for this? I got a couple hundred dollars tied to this account and I use it somewhat regularly with my Ebay account, so I would like to avoid getting it permanently limited. Can I call them and get them to waive the SSN proof requirement? I believe I can provide all of the other information, but I cannot provide a SSN that ties to the name on the account. I read in some threads that I can bypass this by opening a business account, but I want to be sure of my options before I rush the process.

Can someone advise on how I should proceed? I am also willing to pay someone to get this resolved for me and to get my Paypal account back. I would appreciate any and all advice regarding this matter. Thank you.

This is not a random limitation. PayPal will ask you these docs once you reached a certain limit/threshold (receiving) on your account.
You can easily restore this account once you provide those docs. This is a kind of soft limitation, I always get this in almost all of my accounts. So far 9 out of 10 of my accounts got restored :thumb:

That's not a good odd lol

if you cant give them what they asked (ssn#),your account will remain restricted.

setting up LLC is too late for this case.
You said this is a personal account,not a business

The charge back may have triggered the review.

if they want SSN and you cant give it to them,and offer EIN,which tells them there is a problem.

why is your original account banned?
if it is money,may be you can pay back and have your original account reinstated?
-you said you have this personal stealth account for years,back then personal account you dont need to give them SSN,but then Paypal starts urging those who sell to switch to business/prime account,then with this 1099 business,it wants the SSN .
So now you are still using a personal account to sell and eat chargeback,Paypal
would need your SSN so it could send you a 1099k in case you meet the threshold,
I am surprised Paypal does not ask you to upgrade to business account.

Yep, this is very likely. I lost my real account after some scumbag charged back on me for 500$. After that I had to start stealth. Paypal/Ebay doesn't mess around when they lose money.

I think this account is dead. Even if you provide creative ID, etc, they are asking for a lot of stuff.

What do you do for the SSN requirement? I cannot provide my own as it has been used in the past for my real account that got banned. I made an LLC a long time ago for a dropshipping business that I had started. Is it possible to provide the EIN for that? Any and all help is appreciated!

If OP wanted too he could just wait 180 days and withdraw the funds right?
