There’s a problem Right now, we’re not able to transfer the money to your bank.
 

I have been trying to transfer money from about 10 different accounts and they are giving me this error message.

I call Paypal and they give me the run around verifying phone number and telling me to wait 24 hours.

This started after the update to paypal cash.

I think paypal was expecting a lot of people to withdraw their money and purposelessly created these issues.

Thoughts??

sadly, there's no workaround on this. We just need to wait until you can withdraw.

What’s the difference between PayPal cash and our old PayPal accounts? With the new ones, PayPal is just throwing error messages, basically excuses not to let you withdraw your money.

Just ran into this issue tonight on one of my accounts- said something like sorry that didn't work try again later or something. 2015 account with a confirmed bank account, debit card, everything but confirmed identity. NaziPal is at it again.

Yeah, this is new and affects all accounts. Even my 3 year old paypals. But you can still withdraw to a bank account, but thats about it

You can withdraw, but how long does it take for these error messages to go away? Any general rule about it? Also this is terrible when it comes to cash flow. I mean, you can't sell a lot on one account very fast because you can't withdraw really fast, and you don't want the money to pile up because you don't want the account to be possibly limited.

I have 800 bucks on this one account, withdrew 15 bucks about 3 and a half days ago, tried to withdraw again, and had that damn error message. With this account, I could've had 3000 dollars with the rate that I was selling, but I was like nope, need to stop right now. This would effectively kill the ebay/paypal business because how long do I need to wait? like 2 weeks just to withdraw 800 bucks? remember, a good chunk of that is not pure profit, need to pay for costs as well just like anyone else in this forum would.

What do you folks do about this situation?

I think of all these errors, restrictions, and messages as PayPal's version of speed bumps. They are there to slow you down so you can only get a little out at a time. The whole point is to prevent you from running off with all the money, and there is something left in the account to cover any disputes/claims.

In PayPal's eyes, everything is risk-based. Every account has a risk score associated with it based on a myriad of rules powered by their security algorithms.

one possible explanation is that when the buyer pays you and you have linked a credit card to your Paypal account,the fund is immediately available to you,as Paypal figues if it fails,it has your credit card on file .
But if it takes time to collect the fund from your buyer ,he could be using a foreign credit card,so called cross border transaction.
PAYPAL never tell us how the buyer pays-paypal fund,credit card or bank fund,like the other said,it also depends on your risk profile .

Last year,some Ebay sellers were hit with a situation,buyer pays for goods and Paypal said okay to ship,so the seller merrily ship the item .
Then days later ,Paypal takes the money back from the seller claiming payment failed,what it turns out is the buyer if it is using a credit card,will report to his cc issuer to cancel the card as it was stolen or lost,the seller ended up losing his merchandise and shipping

I withdraw 2000 right now, no issues. It is being held for review, but that is normal.
