is it ok to use creative tracking number?
 

I have been buying from someone creative tracking number working only for US shipments, it shows the buyer address and it shows it is delivered.
I always ship on time but the delivery time takes like 12 days, I can not wait for all this time, so I am using this service and it clear my money in 24 to to 48 hours

My question is , is that OK?

I've seen this trick used to reduce the hold times on payments.

Basically people just get the free tracking stickers from the USPS and send them to the desired address. I know that some scammers will just send one to some nearby address, and not ship the actual item, also.

A more legitimate use would be someone selling virtual items, or they are outside the USA and it's not possible to send from their home country. In that case, you need someone stateside to mail off the items.

antsy buyers see it is delivered and they will then open Item not received case with either Paypal or Ebay or worse their cc issuer

Aaaaand this is why eBay is increasingly becoming more strict on the sellers... overseas sellers lying about items being shipped domestically when in fact its coming from overseas, then doing stuff like this to get around the holds... instead of doing things the right way, and waiting like everyone else.

And you guys wonder why eBay banned you in the first place. If you want to get even with eBay, fine... but don't screw over the buyers expecting what they paid for, in the fashion as described in your listing.

I still think managed payments might be a good thing in more ways than one.

You guys are in for a surprise when eBay starts forcing overseas sellers to have a US return address to sell to US customers.
