Hi There New here been a lurker for several months.

Has anyone here opted into the Paypal Cash or are we all here unable to provide our SSN?

Paypal gave my original account the boot about 4 years ago and unfortunately my SSN was attached to that account so I assume Paypal cash is out of the question for me.

I just check the rates on Pirateship,it is the same as Ebay.
I guess if you cant use your Paypal account to print labels for your ebay orders,then Pirateship is for you,same rates.

Correct, Pirateship is great, its a slight pain copying over the address compared to just printing off ebay, but with these new balance limits from PayPal, people don't have any choice.

If you are stealth, you won't be able to provide an SSN. No way around this really unless you have someone who is letting you use their INFO. Or you steal it.

Well paypal is shutting that down with paypal cash unless you have an SSN you can only withdraw to bank.

Pirateship has software just like stamps.com does. So you should be able to link your eBay account to the pirateship software and then automatically import orders at the click of the button. It's actually 5x easier than using eB/PP labels. Orders are automatically imported, tracking numbers are automatically posted back to eBay, and feedback is automatically left for orders as they ship.

Sweet I didn't know this. Now is there any risk of account linkages by doing this?

You can integrate your EB account, so no need to copy any addresses over.

Nah, the only info that's passed back to eBay is tracking numbers.

Linking more than one eBay account to a single Pirateship account may be dangerous but it's never been proven. You can eliminate any potential risks by making one pirateship account for each eBay account, since pirateship is free anyway. Postage providers don't mind you having multiple accounts so there's no risk there.

One pirateship to one eBay.. then all you need to do is login/logout of pirateship accounts pulling your orders from eBay every morning.

Im confused , so I saw mention that after the paypal update, stealth accounts cannot pay for Ebay fees with their Paypal balance..

But I have had no issues with this yet. still using paypal balance to pay my fees, no problems.
I think I missed something? Was it only certain accounts having this problem? or only newly created accounts?

I use other postage methods so paying for that has been no problem.

I've heard that it's slowly rolling out. Some are affected, while others have not yet been.

Yep, same here. It must be rolling out very slowly to handle all the support calls and complains I bet. But be prepared, it is coming...

So what exactly needs to happen in order for me to still be able to use paypal balance to pay EBAY Fees?

Is there any way around this? or is it only possible if you have an account with your real name and info, non-stealth?

so phaz do you need to use a vpn for pirate ship or can you just use your home ip for each pirate ship account linked to each stealth ebay

I use the VPN of the eBay for it's stamps.com account when I'm logged in but I only have 3 stamps.com accounts. Might as well play it safe since I'm already paying for the VPN.
