3 PayPal accounts temporarily limited in the past week; triggered by returns
 

Hello,

I've recently had 3 very good PayPal accounts "temporarily limited" in the past week, all triggered by eBay returns. I know this because for each one, the "we need some more information....etc" email from PayPal came one minute after each return was generated.

For 2 of the accounts PayPal is asking for ID, tracking, invoice, and what the orders were for.

For 1 account it is just asking for photo ID

I don't sell super high risk items, they are brand names but aren't really known

Is this some sort of glitch? I plan on submitting documents, even though I don't have invoices...What are the chances of getting reinstated? I'm assuming this is a soft limit?

Any insight would be appreciated.

It's good to know that you've mentioned it's not about 'linking issue'.
Yeah, it's just a soft limitation. They can easily be restored.
For the invoices = why can't you provide this?
I guess, you need to be creative then.

Let us know if you get the accounts working. Will you be using creative IDs?

thats interesting,since these are Ebay returns,PAYPAL should be used to such,if it does not bother EBAY,why should it bother Paypal?
It could be something of your account which triggers Paypal ASKING for more infor

Besides Ebay MBG is 30 days and they are returning the items,not that they are saying they did not receive it or UA?

It really doesn't make any sense. These are all accounts I've added new bank accounts to 2 weeks ago also, which also shouldn't be a problem.

There is no question eBay is getting tough on returns. Even though they don't "officially" use this as a defect metric, IT IS A DEFECT. This is especially the case if the return is Not as Described, or Doesn't seem genuine.

if seller does not accept return for item not as described or not respond to the case,then ebay will get involved when asked by the buyer,then this will be a defect,.3 strikes the seller is pretty much toast.
there is no defect if seller responds in a timely manner and accept return or offer exchange or refund .
