Setting up a US PayPal account from overseas
 

So I decided to dropship on eBay. The first punch in the face came when I expected it the least - while I was creating eBay and PayPal accounts. The thing is that I live in Ukraine which means that I can't receive money via PayPal.

Since I have a couple of trusted friends from the US, I can ask them to create an account using real data. Granted, PayPal will still scrutinize my activity, however, I'll be able to deal with it much more effectively.

I also know that there's a lot of caveats I need to take into account. For example, I'll have to use VPN so that I have a US IP. However, that's only one among many other things I have to keep in mind. So my question is: What do I have to have in place before setting up a US PayPal account with the help of my American friend?

You would need a very good USA friend because they would have to attach their SSN to the Paypal account for you to get full functionality.

Frankly if I were you, I'd choose any other country. USA accounts are nearly impossible for non-US residents to work with in 2019.

In a dropship situation orders are shipped to the end buyer.

I'm aware of the SSN thing and I'm going to share a percent of my profits with the said friend so that we both benefit.

The plan is to dropship to people in US from US suppliers.

Speaking of registering an account in another country, I know that people register Polish and Russian accounts but the limits on those are really low - you can receive no more than $2900 a year.

But even supposing I got a fully functional non-US account with good limits, wouldn't eBay be suspicious of a non-resident selling stuff on the US market?

No, not at all. You can list on .com from any country's eBay.

there are ebay sellers from Israel,Singapore,Indonesia who rely on AMZN USA to dropship to US buyers.
They have no problem collecting money using their Paypal account and sending return labels.
I have also seen one from Spain,but he only use AMZN to dropship to Spain buyers,AMZN must have a warehouse in Spain?????
Then there are US Ebay sellers who rely on Costco,WMT,Jet.com to dropship to US buyers.
dropshipping can be profitable and fun,but you have no control over how they pack and when they ship,some dropshippers pack very poorly.
I just received a gadget which is not even bubblewrapped,it came in a tyvek envelope,no padding at all.

This idea of relying on some suppliers to ship your order is getting really old these days,and Ebay is asking for vendor invoices to see if you have the items in stock.
who are your suppliers?
AMZN,WMT,Jet.com.COSTCO,Wayfair,DEPT NJ#11WG308?
