All of a Sudden cannot pay shipping with balance

I have a paypal and attached SSN and have been paying shipping for 6 months with the balance, now when I go on there and try to ship it wants to charge by prepaid card or debit card? WTF? Why would they stop me from paying with balance.

I guess because they want you to upgrade to a "paypal cash" account. You've known this was coming for over a year now. No magical answers here.

It's gradually rolling out like everything else they do. Takes time to convert millions and millions of accounts I would guess.

can confirm most of my accounts needed to be verified. most will ask for ID or the money will be stuck there minus the bank withdrawl. one account acctually was OK'd without any ID though strangely enough, an old account

Well so I logged on paypal cash and filled it out , they already have my SSN, now they are asking for ID?
