Paypal Biz account, no SSN or bank..are they still sending checks?
 

I'm curious to know whether the updated Paypal allows new business accounts with no SSN or bank account attached are still giving people the option to have a check mailed to them. The option is still showing up on the ones with bank accounts attached.

I have heard of a few people having trouble when requesting a check on accounts that did not have identity confirmed. The problems were errors such as "sorry your last session cannot be completed", or the dreaded "we can't confirm it is you" error loop.

Calling PayPal will nearly always result in them asking database questions from public records.

The people who were having the problem requesting a check had virtual phone numbers, or were using a datacenter IP at the time. One user said that when they tried from a residential IP, they were successful.

I would say try requesting a check, but if you encounter any errors like those described above, you might know why.

but can you cash the check though?
It will be made out to the name on your stealth account,and the address?

Depositing checks made out in another name is not very difficult so long as your bank allows ATM or Mobile deposits. Most of the big banks have these options. Smaller banks and Credit Union might be more of a problem with acceptance, especially if the amounts are larger.

Mismatched checks from Paypal have been extensively discussed here for the last decade. Get with the times. :coffee:
