Paypal negative balance
 

I have the paypal claim it. I transferred all of the money to my banklast week. A buyer just opened a claim on ebay and now there is a negative balance in my paypal account. When I log in it say's "Add money from your bank to resolve the negative amount." My bank that is associated with this account is verified. A paypal screen pops up and says "there's a problem with adding money to your account. If you'd like help, please contact us'. Anyone know how to handle this without calling them?

Transfer the amount over from another paypal stealth account you may own with that balance.

Thanks Just couldn't figure out why they wouldn't just pull it out of my back. Also worried about linking my paypal accounts.

I believe we are unable to transfer money in USA unless we verify our paypal account.

Unless you verify the account with an ID? I remember reading something about this months ago.

Have you tried resolving the issue with the buyer? Is he willing to close the case or he's unhappy and trying to get a refund? Do you get daily sales with which you can cover the negative balance?

I've had several occasions where dumb buyers would open a case or start a refund process as a way to get in touch with me. I resolved the issue promptly and asked them to close the case but they didn't until the case expired on its own after 30 days. You can't only rely on the buyer to close the case.

A couple of other solutions I can think of for situations like this - get an acquaintance to buy something from you on Ebay but since your account balance is currently negative and you just had a case opened against you, this increases the chance of the payment being held for 21 days.

The best solution may be to find a reputable person on the exchange marketplaces online and trade money on a different platform for the amount you need to bring your pp balance out of the red. Just make sure you ask them to send a larger amount than what you owe so it doesn't look sketchy if the amount is equivalent to the one of your neg balance. You can also trade with two different people which would look more low key.

I contacted the buyer over 24 hours ago with no response received. Very frustrating. We are only given the option of transferring the entire amount to our bank. I used to leave several hundred dollars in each account just in case something like this happened. Guess I will just try to sell something quick. Thanks

so regardless PP will side with the buyer right?

When you click on refund, it'll actually bring the balance back to $0 and PP auto grabs the money from your bank to refund

Can you find his phone number and call him?

I wouldn't deal with this for more than 2-3 days.

So I went to refund him and it would not let me. It says "we sent your offer, the buyer should respond soon". I don't want to lose this paypal account so I'll figure a way to get some cash in there fast.

give your friend some cash and ask him to send it to your account under friend and family

This problem isn't with just you.

Paypal can be and is a dick company they limit your ability to add funds.

You should use Stealth account so you won't have any issues with those at all...
