Pocoloco | 05-17-2019 07:52 PM | New Paypal Account and accepting money I have a new paypal account. If one of my clients sends me money as a friend. Will it be available straight away or will it be on hold ? |
Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money Paypal has credit card attached and bank account verified? |
Pocoloco | 05-17-2019 07:58 PM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money No, no. I just setup a new paypal, got vcc from a seller here. So it's fresh. |
Pocoloco | 05-17-2019 08:05 PM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money I have read that the limit is £2000 before they start asking for id ? My client has to send me £150 and i would prefer to avoid fees, so i want him to send it as a friend. However, I dont want him to send money, if it is going to get limited right after he sends it. |

Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money The money might not get put on hold with it being a friends and family payment but I would suggest that a fresh account receiving a £150 payment straight away might trigger some other security checks on your account.
Maybe a request for ID docs straight away? |

what you are doing is fee avoidance.
you can try a small amount and see if it is withheld, but it does not mean larger amount would not be withheld.
When someone pays you via paypal, the fund is immediately credited to your account, but it takes 1 or more days for Paypal to collect the money from him,so it wants some assurance if things dont go right,it has your bank account/credit card . |
agent006140 | 05-19-2019 08:00 AM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money Paypal introduced a new feature months ago ,cant recall the phrase but some members in good standing have immediate use of the fund |
phaz0rz | 05-19-2019 08:08 AM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money You will undoubtedly get your account limited with Paypal asking for documents if you accept that as a F&F payment on your first transaction. Really bad idea. You need to naturally age the account with normal looking transactions before you even consider doing something like that. |
agent006140 | 05-19-2019 08:47 AM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money But Paypal advertises how easy it is to send fund to your friend and vice versa,it would be a kill joy if you open an account and find out you cant access your fund.
Paypal should say add your bank account and cc when you sign up,so money is not in limbo |
agent006140 | 05-19-2019 08:49 AM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money what is that commercial I saw?
you and your friends are dining in a restaurant, you pick up the tab and your fellow diners paypal you their share of the bill.
OOPS,their payments are withheld????????and you don have enough money to pay the cc bill when it come due soon !!!!!!!!!! |
phaz0rz | 05-19-2019 09:22 AM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money What Paypal advertises publicly does not apply to us and you're foolish if you think it does. We have to run our accounts differently due to the nature of the accounts we use. |

yungsc1005 | 05-19-2019 06:06 PM | Re: New Paypal Account and accepting money With PayPal’s new “Claim it” rule those days are now over. You have to provide legit name and SSN in order to send or spend money from your PayPal balance.
So if you have 20 PayPal accts, your gonna have to open 20 bank accts, link them, and withdraw in order to get paid. |
