deposit paypal check issues
i tried to deposit a paypal check into bank of america mobile check deposit the other day.....this is the first time I have had issues.........
basically i saw a deposit hold......and now theirs an adjustment where the entire amount was just subtracted off and not deposited......
this is in a bank of america business account.......the amount was for a little over 300 bucks....... |

Maybe the name on the check was manually reviewed?
IDK. I know that thanks to bitcoin banks are becoming a lot more picky about deposits matching up. Wells Fargo used to allow you to deposit money into anybody's account but not anymore. Could be related. :noidea: |

i just looked further into this and the adjustment stated payee not on account......so I don't think you can do mismatch deposits into bank of america.......in terms of checks anymore.......maybe this is a new thing..... |

The other was to deposit mismatched checks was via the ATM, but that only works at some banks, particularly the big ones like Wells Fargo, Citibank, or Chase.
This isn't the first time I have heard of BofA refusing to take a check made out in a 3rd name. Maybe try Wells Fargo since they don't see care much about the name on the check when using Mobile Deposit or ATM. This is on a business account, however. |

bank of america has increased their security quite a bit the last few years,
they have 2fa when trying to add bank of america on paypal coinbase etc it was not like that before
and when I call in i have to identify myself by them sending me a code to my phone before discussing matters about my account |

I mean going to a physical branch and place the deposit slip and check in the chute,or stand in line and give it to the teller.
I swear some tellers do not read who is the payee ! |

just do it with a different bank or credit union
guaranteed it will work someplace else not all banks have updated their security system |

i have been doing it the same way I have always done it through mobile check deposit and it never caused issues until now I endorsed the check over to me |

Do you have a smart phone and can down load check making apps?
Do you have white paper to print your own name and then place over the name paypal printed on the check?

If you dont have any of those things, how about internet access to websites such as vista print?
Or maybe quick books check printing software or alike?
